Don’t Get Caught Up By The Societal Sequence

Back in the day, there was God for a lot of people that took away the insecurities of life. God would take care of that.

More and more people are starting to move away from traditional religion as their source of faith and trust. Philosophies like Stoicism, Zhuangzi, or Daoism are getting more popular.

What is it that makes these ancient philosophies so popular in 2023?

People want to learn how to live life, instead of being just a breathing machine. It’s about the value of your life that matters, not the length.

What’s a long but unfulfilled life worth it against maybe short but a fulfilling life? Somebody that did everything to be happy.

I’d choose to live my best life.

Finding Your Purpose

Before you can be happy, find your purpose.

Find out what your best life is. You probably don’t have the answer right now; because you’ve never thought about it. Not really.

Most people live and do “what’s expected of them”.

But I don’t like to do what I’m told. I can make my decisions. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen to other people and take advice from them.

You need to know the difference.

We’re living in a world where everything is possible. Thanks to the unlimited internet. We’ve got access to free knowledge and we can share ours with the entire world.

Become a Better Version of Yourself

Do you want to beat yourself? That’s what you should do. Every day.

Improve yourself by 1% every day; and stop comparing yourself to others if that causes jealousy. That’s useless.

You’d better compare yourself to the person you were yesterday, a month ago, or even one year ago. That will help you to see the gains.

What’s the life you want to live?

Do you like working out every day? Do it.

Do you like writing every day? Do it.

Don’t you like sitting in an office doing tasks for a boss? Try to quit.

That’s not easy. (Obviously); but you can at least try to do something you like, otherwise, life isn’t going to be fun, and you will burn out.

Take breaks and invest in yourself. (Financially, spiritually, and intellectually).

Start Working Towards Your Goals

You will not move an inch if you’re not setting yourself goals.

Pick a path you want. Do you want to be a full-time writer within a year? That’s going to be your path. Now you need to set goals to achieve that.

Pick smaller in-between goals to stimulate yourself.

You will experience failure. That’s normal, but you will only become successful if you’re able to bend these failures around and use them as lessons.

By not setting goals, you will always end up in places you don’t want to be.

Once you’ve set your goals you need to be consistent.

Your To-Do List

Here’s your to-do list for achieving your goals.

  • Pick a long-term goal that you want to achieve.
  • Split that up into 3-4 micro-tasks you can achieve.

Now the fun part starts.

  • Start working towards your goals. Write them down and talk about them with other people in your field. They can help you make your goals more accurate.
  • Learn a lot about the niche you want to do something in;

Then evaluate your goals over time. If you failed your goals. Don’t cry in the corner, re-set your goals and become better next time.

That’s how you become the best version of yourself. Living your best life.
