Do you know what breaking the rules feels like?
Then you must know it feels good. It’s good to stop doing what you’re told and plan your path ahead of you. It’s much better than doing whatsoever somebody’s expecting of you.
“If you obey all the rules, you’ll miss all the fun.”
It’s called life.
You might have heard of this before, but there’s a life outside the made-up society that we all created over the last couple of centuries.
Here’s why you should stop living inside the matrix.
Who Is Living Your Life?
Are you living your life?
You should be. If you weren’t living for yourself, who are you living for? Other people are living for themselves, so why shouldn’t you?
“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.”
Take some time to reflect and see if you’ve been living your life for the past years.
If you haven’t, it’s time to start doing so. If you have, it’s time to continue doing so.
Some people don’t realize this, but there are people among us who’re living someone else’s life.
- They get up every day at 6 a.m.
- They eat their simple breakfast.
- They get inside their car and go to work.
- At 5 p.m. they go back home and eat dinner.
- When they’re tired they go to sleep.
- And repeat.
That’s their life. According to them. But it doesn’t sound like life.
Build Confidence & Workout
Are you struggling to get your life together and become confident? Then you should try to do this.
- Prepare your body for a healthy mind; work out, get your stamina together and get better at life.
- Achieve physical resilience by doing cold showers and breathing exercises.
By getting confident about your body, you build your mind as well. A lot of our insecurities are caused by our bodies.
Work on that.
If you believe in yourself and get confident you can achieve some other difficult things as well.
You dare to take more risks.
One of these things is making money online or quitting the 9–5 job you actually don’t want to work on.
Let’s find out if that’s something for you.
Quit Your 9–5 and Start Your Own Life
If you like your 9–5 office job and you’re a confident person, that’s fine. You don’t have to change up your complete life if you’re happy.
But many people don’t know how.
The thing is. You should just take the risk if that is what you truly want. No excuses left.
Obviously, you need a bit of saving to make sure you don’t go bankrupt within one month and go back to your 9–5 job.
I’m not fully working online, I’m currently studying and saving as much money as possible to go independent within a couple of years. That’s the process you should go through.
We shouldn’t romanticize the digital nomad lifestyle, but I’m into it.
The creator economy is completely booming and everybody who wants to can have a shot at it right now. We’re on the brink of a content revolution in Web3/Blockchain and that’s something to keep watching closely.
It Changes Your Mindset
Doing things differently changes your mindset.
Thinking about these things is quite interesting because most people can’t think about them in such a way that they don’t have to be executed.
How would life be if you’d control your own life without doing what is expected of you?
Do you realize you’re free?
We don’t live in a video game with rules we have to obey. We have free will. Disagreeing with the rules that have been set over 100 years ago isn’t bad.
Some rules have to change because they don’t make sense anymore.
I hope that more and more people realize that they can do whatever they want.
- Stop getting way too expensive student loans to afford your $100,000 college degree that you’re never going to pay off.
- Quit your boring 9–5 office job and start doing something that you actually like.
- Start working out and do breathing exercises (meditation) to build bodily confidence; if you don’t trust your body, why should your mind trust you?
To put it short: do whatever the f*ck you want to make yourself happy.
